What's coming up in 2016

From all of us at Bankers without Borders, we hope your 2016 is off to a great start!

We’ve been reflecting on the impact we’ve achieved together, and what this new year will bring.

Here are some highlights…

We’ve enlisted 20,872 volunteers to date!

So far, we have worked with 20 Fortune 500 companies to deploy their employees on various volunteer engagements.

These range from short-term virtual engagements to longer-term on-site assignments. To some companies, this is part of their CSR and employee engagement program. For others, it is more rooted in professional development with a commitment to working in emerging markets.

In total, we have served 210 social enterprises in 43 countries.

We support some of the most promising and innovative organizations focused on improving the lives of the world’s poorest people. In 2015, we expanded to three new countries: Brazil, China, and South Africa.

Looking forward

To support our expansion into 2016, we are looking to expand the BwB team by placing a new program specialist in the Philippines. Currently, we have staff in the US, Dubai, Kenya, India to service the various portfolios. We will continue to provide both short-term and long-term engagements opportunities, both virtually and on-site.

For our corporate partners, we will increasingly work with their grantee organizations to provide deeper integration between their CSR and employee engagement efforts. We are also expanding our university partnerships to facilitate more on-the-ground student volunteer efforts as part of their coursework or practicum requirements.

We look forward to working with you in 2016, and thank you for all you have done so far to advance our fight against poverty.

In Service,
