Use Your Professional Talents to Fight Global Poverty!
Bankers without Borders®, a Grameen Foundation initiative, is on a mission: to help microfinance institutions, the Grameen Foundation itself, and our technology partners move people out of poverty. How? By utilizing private-sector resources—people who can contribute a few hours a week or a few months of their lives—to make a difference helping the poorest of the poor.
You Can Get Involved!
Working with our microfinance and technology partners, we define projects and the additional talent needed to complete each project. We then solicit the time and expertise of our Bankers without Borders volunteers, matching specific abilities with the task. By utilizing their skills in a new undertaking, volunteers not only make an impact fighting global poverty, they extend their own talents and their professional network.
Whether via virtual assignments, at our headquarters in Washington D.C., at our technology center in Seattle, or doing on-site work in emerging markets, you can advance microfinance and enable even more of the world’s poorest people to escape poverty.
Partnering with Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and leading universities, Bankers without Borders enables the microfinance sector to learn and apply corporate best practices. We work with you to develop skill-based volunteer programs and pro bono engagements for your employees and members.
Bankers without Borders can help your MFI or microfinance network improve operations, develop new products, and ultimately ensure more of the world’s poor have the opportunity to progress out of poverty.
